Due to different practical applications,  brushless motors often need to be equipped with Hall sensors. Let's briefly talk about the advantages and disadvantages of the brushless DC motor with Hall sensor and sensorless:

　　The advantages of brushless motors with Hall sensors:

　　1. Hall sensors are installed inside, which can detect the position of the rotor and start smoothly;

　　2. The motor can be started at zero speed with Hall sensor.

　　Disadvantages:

　　1, the price is higher than that without Hall;

　　2. The structure is more complicated than that without Hall

　　The advantages of brushless motors without Hall:

　　1. Longer life and reliability, because no Hall can be damaged;

　　2. Low cost, because there is no Hall, let alone Hall bracket.

　　3. The manufacturing is simpler, and the traditional motor needs to adjust the Hall angle.

　　Disadvantages:

　　1. Start is not smooth, because there is no Hall to detect the rotor position, so the drive part needs to do zero-crossing current detection, which causes the motor to vibrate when starting, or even fail to start;

　　2. Not suitable for applications with large loads or large changes in load;

　　3. A Hall driver cannot drive this kind of motor.
